In addition to performing original songs, Nellie McKay will play selections from her latest album  Normal As Blueberry Pie – A Tribute to Doris Day, featuring the iconic New York singer-songwriter interpreting a colorful selection from Day’s extensive recordings. Nellie even reviewed a recent biography of Day for The New York Times and is one of few people granted an interview with Ms. Day... and Nellie was awarded the Doris Day Music Award in ‘05 for “The Dog Song” in recognition of her dedication to animal rights.
