Joe Louis Walker
Multiple Grammy, Living Blues and four-time WC Handy/Blues Music Award winner Joe Louis Walker is a powerhouse virtuoso, deeply soulful singer and prolific songwriter. A Blues Hall of Fame inductee, Walker started playing in the 60s San Francisco scene with the likes of Lightnin’ Hopkins, Jimi Hendrix, Thelonious Monk, B.B. King and James Cotton. His latest album ‘Everybody Wants A Piece’ burns with rock energy featuring blistering blues guitar playing with gospel-tinged vocals and NPR Music has called Walker “a legendary boundary-pushing icon of modern blues.”

“Walker is a singer with a Cadillac of a voice. He delivers no-nonsense, gutsy blues. His guitar solos are fast, wiry and incisive, moaning with bluesy despair.” - The New York Times
Toronzo Cannon

He's played with Tommy McCracken, L.V. Banks and more, played the Chicago Blues Festival nine times and released a number of albums. His third album was nominated for a Blues Music Award for Rock Blues Album Of The Year in 2013. Come see one of the best blues stories around and hear why he's one of Chicago's rising stars.
