Gong

Gong, the psychedelic space rock collective, continues to explore new musical territory with a new album and tour. Since its founding in 1967 in a French commune, Gong has undergone transformations but remains dedicated to innovative sound. The current lineup includes Dave Sturt (bass), Ian "Eastwinds" East (saxophone), Fabio Golfetti (guitar), Kavus Torabi (guitar and vocals), and Cheb Nettles (drums), drawing influences from psychedelia, space rock, jazz, and more.

Founded by Daevid Allen, Gong's early albums gained acclaim, including praise from David Bowie. The classic lineup produced iconic works like Camembert Electrique (1971) and the Radio Gnome Trilogy. After personnel changes, Gong ventured into jazz fusion and held notable reunions, including the Gong Est Mort, Vive Gong concert in 1977.The 2000s saw Gong revitalized with new members, leading to the release of 2032 (2009) and international tours. Allen's final album, I See You (2014), was followed by Rejoice! I’m Dead! (2016) and further global performances. Their album The Universe Also Collapses (2019) showcased ongoing innovation. In 2023, Gong released Unending Ascending through Kscope and has been touring extensively, continuing their unpredictable journey.
