In 10 years as a band, The Po’ Ramblin’ Boys have covered a lot of miles. Their love of bluegrass—playing it, sharing it, growing it—has fueled a remarkable journey across America and into the hearts of fans drawn to their hard‑charging, true‑blue sound.
“We live what we play and sing about,” says bandleader C.J. Lewandowski. The group has weathered the highs and lows bluegrass is known for (minus the murders): road weariness, longing for home, heartbreak when members left, and joy when new ones arrived. They’ve chased big dreams onto celebrated stages, earned a Grammy nomination for Toil, Tears & Trouble, and received an IBMA Entertainer of the Year nod.
Their travels have shown them every corner of the country and every kind of person, sharpening the truth that rings through their songs. “Wanderers Like Me,” the title track of their latest album and their first No. 1 on the Bluegrass Unlimited chart, captures their spirit: wanderers who don’t settle, who chase dreams without apology.
Recently, the band has entered a new chapter with a refreshed lineup. Guitarist John Gooding from California and fiddler Max Silverstein from “the great bluegrass state of Maine” join Lewandowski, Jereme Brown, and Jasper Lorentzen, expanding the group’s age range and roots. The result is a renewed onstage energy—glances, laughs, and a sense of conversation that includes the audience.

Wood Flower’s combination of tight harmonies, driving banjo, soulful mandolin, ripping twin guitars all supported by a solid bass line are highlights that define this up-and-coming bluegrass band. Their unique yet traditional approach to bluegrass music was formed in the spring of 2022 between a music teacher and his former guitar student from ten years prior who had recently graduated from Berklee College of Music.
Only two weeks after Wood Flower’s first public performance they were honored to open for The Seldom Scene, and have since shared the stage with such greats as Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder, Wyatt Ellis and East Nash Grass.
They have entertained music fans at variety of festivals including Wind Gap Bluegrass Festival, Podunk Bluegrass Festival, Musikfest, Appalachian Fiddle & Bluegrass Association Festival, Basin Bluegrass Festival and at listening rooms such as Godfrey Daniels, Sellersville Theater and the Ardmore Music Hall.
Based in Eastern PA, Wood Flower is a featured artist of the NextStage PA program, of which Sellersville Theater is a proud participant.
Wood Flower's self-titled debut album includes ten tracks, seven of which are original material and was released in the fall of 2024.
