Well Crafted Beer Company began its journey in 1999 when five students majoring in the same program met at an upstate New York college. After graduating, they formed families and careers and settled in Philadelphia. Their common interests and a love of craft beer kept them connected. Their home brewing hobby kicked into high gear in 2007 when they started producing larger batches and experimenting with varieties of hops, malts, and yeasts to create different beer styles. They discovered the impact the water source has on the brewing process and learned how the water chemistry adds complex personality to craft beer. The name, Well Crafted, was inspired by the art of brewing and by combining high quality ingredients with well water to produce beer with depth, flavor, and character. After a ten-year journey, they proudly operate two locations, in Ambler and Lansdale.
