Mahavishnu Project will be opening the show, and will be the backing band for David Sancious and Will Calhoun.
David Sancious is a keyboardist, composer, and producer, best known for his work with the E Street Band, as well as his contributions to jazz and progressive rock. He played a significant role in the early development of Bruce Springsteen's sound and later formed his own group, the David Sancious Band. Sancious is highly regarded for his virtuosity on both the piano and synthesizers, blending a variety of musical genres into his distinctive style. Peter Gabriel, Sting, Bruce Springsteen, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Seal and others have used his talents as pianist, synthesist, guitarist, arranger, and producer on recording sessions and concert tours, playing an eclectic and diverse range of music.

Will Calhoun is best known for his work with rock band Living Colour. Calhoun is celebrated for his powerful, inventive drumming style and his ability to fuse complex rhythms with intense energy. In addition to his work with Living Colour, he has collaborated with various artists and explored a diverse range of musical genres throughout his career. Not many artists have the vision and artistic energy to be Grammy winners and contribute to so many genres: jazz, rock, hip-hop, ambient, et al, while concurrently producing, touring, creating new projects, working on films, and continually pushing the envelope. Will Calhoun has this creative vision, and he is doing an extraordinary job keeping music a spiritual and motivating force in his life.

Mahavishnu Project returns to perform their interpretations of the classic music of John McLaughin, Jeff Beck, and Jan Hammer. Mahavishnu Project has become well-known for reaching into the jazz-rock music beyond the John McLaughlin-led originals to include songs of Jeff Beck, featuring guitar virtuoso Robbie Mangano (Sean Lennon/Tom Morello), keyboardist Neil Alexander (The Machine/Eric Person) and bassist Brian Mooney joining drummer and bandleader Gregg Bendian - well-known for his work with Todd Rundgren, Pat Metheny, Nels Cline, Ornette Coleman and John Zorn.
