Henhouse Prowlers

With wild dreams spanning two decades, the Henhouse Prowlers remain future-focused. Ben Wright, Chris Dollar, Jon Goldfine, and Jake Howard share a deep kinship, forged through global travels and musical exploration. Their Chicago-based quartet defies limits—both literal and figurative.

Their performances pulse with passion, storytelling, and intricate instrumentation. Rooted in tradition yet driven by innovation, they occupy a genre-fluid space that’s endlessly compelling. Their latest album, Unravel, produced by Stephen Mougin (Sam Bush Band), blends modern Americana with nods to classic country and bluegrass. Harmonies deepen, picking stays fierce, and songwriting pushes boundaries.

Themes span road life, war, time, loss, joy, and imagination—welcoming listeners like old friends. Onstage, they deliver bluegrass-infused global tunes, sometimes in languages new to the audience.

Having toured 30 countries and founded Bluegrass Ambassadors, the Prowlers build cultural bridges through music, workshops, and a forthcoming documentary. Their mission: to foster compassion and celebrate our shared humanity.
