We’re excited to have the Vermont-born singer, guitarist, fiddler & banjo player Sam Amidon make his Sellersville Theater debut. He’s been enjoying a decade-long career as a recording & touring musician who always manages to create work that’s utterly original, even when, as on previous recordings, exploring sounds & stories of traditional American music. A self-described total jazz nerd, Sam’s deeply personal synthesis of folk-based song form and experimental improvisation has been captivating his ever growing fan base! Sam Amidon has been featured on NPR’s World Cafe and PBS.

Philadelphia musician Birdie Busch opens the show. Critics from American Songwriter to Village Voice have found her of kindred spirit from everyone from Pink Floyd founder Syd Barrett to American Gothic writer Eudora Welty, and seem to just keep referring to what she does as her own thing and appreciating that strange place where it resides.
